Ah shit.When was this filmed?
Adel, your anger is entirely understandable.
It makes me mad and sad, and Im not even Iraqi.:(
But its not true that no-one cares. I care. People running and posting on this blog care.
Good luck, peace and love.

Waw! Yo. Thank you. Shukran. Awesome.
I will do what I can to see that more and more americans hear you, and learn to see Iraq through iraqi eyes.
You are brave, and yes, a little foolish. But maybe that is why bravery is sprinkled on youth.
When decisions are being made about using violence to solve problems then those people should know about the effects of political violence on innocent civilians. Not just the dead. No. The living who are directly affected, they pay every day of thier lives for our decisions.
Waw! I’m putting a hometownbaghdad link on my blog!

Hey dude, you are wonderful.
I really liked this video.
Keep up the good work.

It just sucks that nobody listens to the call of the international community to end this war…international organizations won’t help either since they are either afraid or are being threatened by the US. There are so many things happening in the world today that needs attention….we have the war in iraq, we have darfur, we have killings in somalia among others….I know how it feels to be so mad that your anger makes you cry…Like Lelly I am not Iraqi but this video just made me feel so sad. I’d post this in my blog and send the link to all the people in my mailing list..A lot of people care I just wish however that I for one could do something about it.
Wish you all the best.

To Saif, Ausama, Adel, and all the others involved in this project–thank you so much for the risk you take to share your life with the rest of the world. I am American, and my heart grieves for all of you, and everyone else in Baghdad. It is such a sorrow to me that my countrymen have done this. I hope your work here will bring more understanding to us all.

Your anger is understandable and art is a good way to express yourself.
I know it doesn’t feel like it, but people do care. I care.

adel, thanks for putting a face on the youth in iraq. we’re all one youth. i feel like inviting you to take shelter here with me but you know, there is no place on earth where we wont feel overwhelmed by pain and frustration. i’m 20 but i hope i can go to iraq soon to help in some small way. hope to meet you and more of your generation. life is short. keep making the most of it buddy

you do deserve a better life, but it is getting worse and worse in Iraq everyday
perhaps expressing your anger is a way to make yourself feel better, but you ahould always keep in mind that many many people care, and are trying their best to do something about this mess.
keep you hopes high and don’t let anything put you down.
Regards

Wow,
Adel you have incredible talent. I would love it if you could come to America and really make a nice life for yourself. Your country has really been torn apart. Was it better with Saddam? Did the Americans really do this to you? What does Israel have to do with it? I can understand that you love your country. But if it is overrun with thugs or warlords ( so called insurgents ) how can you ever expect to have peace there? I wish you all the best and hope you make it out alive. Maybe you can do some artwork, and mail it to the US and I can have an exhibit or something. I can hook you up with some art dealers or something, Email me privately. Peace,
Rick
I love Saif and Ausama too

I didn’t see many of the things that Rick S. references with regard to this clip about Adel. Also, irrespective of the answer to the question of whether Iraq is a safer place now than it was in 2002, the utmost should be done to make Iraq as safe as possible now. That must include an international conference so narrow interests are cast aside for the common good.

Adel,
You seem to have a lot of anger and frustration compared to Saif and Ausama. And I cannot blame you. Though it is comforting to see that you take your anger out through graffitti messages and music as opposed to violence and bloodsheed like some others might. You are truly an honorable person in a moment and area of war.
To the creators and crew, thank you for allowing us to see the lives of these three young men. It is fortunate that we get to see three different types of men and their similar experiences and different reactions. It shows that not everyone reacts to things the same, but at the same time, they still can and do feel the same sorrow.

Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
Did you ever wonder
Why we had to run for shelter
When the promise of a brave new world
Unfurled beneath a clear blue sky
Oooooooo ooo ooooo oooh
Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
The flames are all long gone
But the pain lingers on
Goodbye blue sky
Goodbye blue sky
Goodbye
Goodbye

Hey Adel,
I just started to watch your blogs. It is something that everyone in the west needs to see. One thing that people forget is the human equation of what is going on there. Sure the media talks about it and creates those one or two minute clips on it but we all need a wakeup call on. What you guys are doing is giving it to us. You are showing us a personal view of the violence and how most people in Iraq are spectators in a war just trying to survive. I thank you for giving your views and showing us a glimpse of what it is like. Who wouldn’t be angry with what is going on. I am glad that you are using this as an outlet to tell your story and how you keep. Keep your head down and eyes up and never lose hope for tomorrow.

Adel, you are really hot! Why don’t you have a girlfriend? You seem so full of life, even though you are in anguish. You have such emotion and feeling. Any girl would love to be with a guy that understands emotion. You should come to the US - you could be a star! Wishing you the best!

Adel, God bless you, there IS something better…your Creator knows that you are hurting and He has come down to take away your pain and sorrow. The Bible says the cost of sin is death but it also tells us “I have come that you might have life” says Jeshua(Jesus). “I am the way,the truth and the LIFE. He who believes in Me will not be put to shame. Death and destruction entered this world as a consequence of Adam’s sin and our sin, but,Christ came to take our sins upon Himself and to give us a NEW LIFE. Except you are born again spiritually you cannot see the kingdom of God.We all have sinned and fallen short of God’s standard of perfect holiness but if we confess our sins He is faithful and just and will cleanse us from our sins and forgive us.He (your Creator)will then come and live inside you, Adel, and be like a spring of living water flowing in and through you. You will be like a well water tree planted by a river and God promises that if you receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour you will have eternal life (because Jesus is Life) for the eternal God will live inside you by His Spirit.
Jesus saved me and is my Savior,Adel. I hope you will make Him your’s too:) Jesus loves you and died for you, Adel, that you might live. Choose Jesus and live!!
