I am so excited to have found this site-we will check the videos daily. Thanks so much for the 'real' look inside your lives-it is so interesting and very sad as well. I can compeletly understand the desire to just get back to peace and normalcy. God I hope it happens soon-everyone must be so TIRED of being nervous and scared all the time and yes, we in US take for granted the peace and security we have. Keep posting your videos they are so interesting! Dana

I haven't missed an episode yet Saif. The last one where Ausama goes to look for a new suitcase makes me sick to my stomach. What is the way out of this mess that Dubya in all his wisdom (or lack thereof) has gotten everybody into?
I want Iraqis to be able to get their country back and to lead normal lives but I'm not seeing how this is going to happen.
What do you guys think would be the best route to peace and stability? Somebody besides the ignorant political types needs to be having this conversation because the politicos aren't doing anybody any good.
Sorry for venting but I'm just thoroughly disgusted today (can't you tell).

I am viewing this from Canada...I'm a soldier from the RMAF.Whats going on with your country is controversial..You guys want the americans out when really they are doing you a service..If they werent fighting your war, you would be succumbed to insurgents. How about we get them out of there and see how you capitalize as a country.Everybody makes mistakes, that is fair and justified. But when a IED goes, and demolishes 80% civilians..then you need to really see the problem. The problem outside the box so to speak...Are they fighting for what is right?Or I will be wasting my time?Fighting for something that doesnt gain no resolution or property for what matter?

Greetings...
Four notes and I am off commenting here.

Let us speak broadly. There was demonstrations, I dare to say, of millions of people before this war and during it demanding not to go through with it. What have they done? Where are those people now? Did they go back to thier lives, work, study, love, traveling and commenting on blogs showing Iraqis on the verge of annihilation? Where do you, Saif, Usama, Adel and my brothers in Baghdad stand?

California is really beautiful. Wonderful weather, blue skies and the sun shines on the waves of the ocean. People walking in the street smiling. they know what will bring them tomorrow. May be some of them are planning for a nice trip to Europe next year. What are the chances of being assassinated by a death squad?

Who dares to tell Iraqis to be brave for the expense of their lives and some transitional recognition? We are brave enough already baring all the foolishness and stupidity of the others. Not mentioning the helplessness of the civilized world to stop the absurdity we have been put through without a choice.

One more thing, congratulations guys, you made it to the French news. I bet because of that, someone French will arrive tomorrow and stop the war, the bombing, the assassinations, the displacements, "reinvent" the smashed pieces of antiquities of the looted Iraqi Museum, give Baghdad some electricity and rebuild some bridges. Viva the civilized new world!!!!

May all this bring you better future.
I hope my comments will not offend anyone.
Good Night and Good Luck!

I am an Australian and don't know all the details about what has been going on in Iraq. More Australian troops are going to be sent over there soon and our prime minister seems to be right behind the "Bush invasion" in Iraq. Im not so convinced that its the right thing to do. I have been moved to tears with stories and photos from this site and other links. I want to say thanks for opening up my eyes to your troubles. Peace is something we all deserve and I pray that it will be found in the near future.
God bless

A small article was in our local newspaper this morning about your website (I live in North Carolina in the US) so I cut it out and have spent the past hour watching all of the videos. You are doing something seriously important and you should all be very proud of the work you're doing in bringing these stories of average Iraqis to the world.
Stay safe and keep up the filming. And please know that there are people out here who feel for you and what you're going through on a daily basis.

Hi Saif. Two days ago, Myriam (from Canada) informed me about your blog, via my own blog (http://meguini.org). Fortunately, I'm a journalist and I immediately transmitted the info to a colleague who works for a program broadcasted on Canal + (very well-known French channel) and called "L'effet papillon "( = "The Butterfly effect"). I'm also planning on writing an article in a notorious French paper (Libération), and would need, in order to do so, to get directly into contact with you. Coud you send me an email with your phone number so I can call you ? I believe your work will be very popular in France. Courage et encore bravo !
