Hi there...
I saw many of your videos...I`ll be short.
I do not know are you guys and girls finished your med school, but if you wonna get out of Iraq, you could try with Bosnia.
It`s in Europa,it peacefull, and you can continue your education.
Most of all,it is not so hard to get visa, and life is not expansive like in west-Europa.You can afford it.

Chack it out,Tuzla city:

I left my e-mail for contact, here and on youtube.
Upper slide show is mine,so you can contact me over youtube.

Ausama,
I feel guilty for what has happened to your Country, and everyone in my family wishes that we could do something to make your families lives better. I am obessed with this video serious and have watched every episode. I am at a loss of a way to express myself adequately. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. You also speak very good English.....better than some Americans...LOL Be careful, but please keep the vids coming our way.

Ausama,

Medical students are awesome! (it's true)
Watching the videos is the least I can do, we should all be thanking you for helping to make them.
So, thank you!
I would love to learn more about your medical school and tell you about mine, do you have email? It's much easier to access and reply.

I'm so addicted to these videos.
I'm in medical school as well, but in Australia!
I wish they let us sit next to our friends in exams, that would be a big help for me haha
It's really good to be able to compare schools, and see how people in other countries deal with the same situations like exams, when they are in such a different situation because of war and politics.
My mother went to school in eastern Turkey and she always tells me to be very grateful for my school here in Australia.
I feel really grateful to everyone who made these videos.

Dear Cal ,

I love my country , my community and my people ... unfortunatley the situation here is continuously deteriorating and day by day we're getting the feeling that we're helpless .
It's going to be hard for me to live a normal life if I'm going to stay under the current circumstances , that's why I and most of my collegues think of leaving the country ,to flee from the danger and to get a degree in my major and hopefully one day things will go back to normal where we could live a normal descent life in our country , and that's when we will go back.

I honestly feel if me and my familly will stay here , one of us -god forbid- might get killed , and at that time regret will help in nothing !

I do have hope , otherwise I wouldn't stay (after 4 years of continous violence) in Iraq !

I'm also here to reply
please keep posting

Thank you

I must say that I am greatly impressed by your site, and I am glad that you have not sunk the contents of your site into the misery of politics. I know the politics is terrible, but I know next to nothing about the reality of Iraq, and nothing from the Iraqi perspective.
Mostly I am concerned by your opinion "that there is no future." Obviously that is not true, because even if the future is bleak, there is still a future. As an American I want to know what your hopes and dreams are. Obviously you love your country, as much as I love mine, and if you love your country then there is definitely hope. And if you have hope, then obviously you must have a dream to bring that hope to life.
Please write me back and let me know if you disagree with me or agree with me.
Or if you have no time to write me, at least keep posting videos of you and your friends lives, because I want to know more about the reality of Iraq.

Very Respectfully
Cal

Salam Ausama,

Amazing videos, please keep them coming! It is great being able to see the daily lives of Iraqi students; I'm an Iraqi of the same age but born and brought up in the UK so seeing how you guys live and study is really unique and insightful.

The exodus of Iraqi doctors to the West throughout the past few decades has really had a negative impact on what is left of the healthcare system now in Iraq so I reiterate some of the points made earlier in that I hope you decide to stay in Iraq after graduation and help your fellow Iraqis. Although this is very easy for me to say when I am not living in Iraq and not having to face the daily sound of bullets, kidnappings etc. Allah sa'idcum!!

If you need any help then please get in touch and the Iraqi community here in the UK would only be happy to help you in any way.

I wish you all the success in the world Inshallah,

Take care and Allah we'ach.
